Hi,

I want to use this program for portable (kinda) comic server. I'm gonna use the mini pc for running Ubooquity and that will have no Internet connection (No WIFI, no LAN cable). And I want to see the comics on smartphone (Android OS).

Is it possible?

but your smartphone is connected to your mini pc via wifi?

Is it possible to make smartphone connected to mini pc without using Internet connection?

yeah via a direct wifi connection.

but i don't think that I'm really grasping what you want to do.

how would you connect your phone to your mini pc if there is no wifi or internet connection?

Nope. Ubooquity spits out a URL for you to hit with a web browser. your server needs to be on some sort of network for other devices to reach that URL

You might be able to work it out with something like this and either wifi-direct, or some software on your server machine to act as a router. But, you won't be able to access the internet from your phone while connected to the PC.

Or use your phone as a second screen, via USB

Oh jeeze, then again, that is one sketchy-ass main pic....

So, there's possibility. Okay I will try that. Thanks for the help

I would by a cheap Access Point and connect it via cable to your machine, then you can log in into the WiFi ob the AP and all is fine.

The last time ive tried wifi direct it sucks. And if you use an extra AP, for example D-Link Dir 505, more than one device can connect und use your server.

I'm wondering WTF you're doing this for though.

Why not just buy a cheap micro SD card, and use an app on your phone?

I have 258GB SD card and it's full now, so I want to use this as a wireless external hard drive.

I have that one as well but slow as hell, and sometimes doesnt even work.
