Latest additions works but main comics gets ERR_Connection_Refused

Andy 6 years ago updated by Tom 6 years ago 7

I've got Ubooquity loaded on an Ubuntu machine and so far It's awesome, but I can't get http://myip:2202/Comics/ to load.  Whether I use the default theme or Comixology, Latest additions open fine and even comics can be read through there but that main /comics/ folder just keeps boming out.  Any ideas?

What do you mean by "can't load": a blank page, an error page, a browser connection error ?

Dude, thank you so much, I was thinking no one would be commenting :(.  A blank page comes up with this in the middle:

This site can’t be reached

mycomics.mydomain.com refused to connect.

  • Search Google for MyComicsServer

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

Thoughts?

Do you have the same problem when you try to load the page from a local browser (on the same machine) ?

And do you have any reverse proxy between your browser and Ubooquity ?

Tom,

I viewed the webpage directly from the VM hosting the Ubooquity instance and it works.  What's interesting is that I do not have a proxy between them, but I do have a load balancer.  What could the load balancer be doing to disrupt the publisher/comic flow but allow the latest additions to work without issue?  How bizarre.

Andy

Weird indeed.

The only thing I can think of is if you have activated the "Bypass single root folder" option (in the advanced settings) and have a single comic folder, and are trying to see them in "folder" mode (instead of "flat" view).

In that case Ubooquity will serve the page using a HTTP redirection, which might, I guess, cause some issue with a load balancer.

But that's a lot of ifs.

DUDE, you are a BOSS.  Bypass Single Root folder was exactly what was doing it.  The comixology themese says it's require but I'm not populating the publisher list so once I disabled it, it's all gravy.  How interesting, my F5 LB was not liking the redirect.

Thanks again dude!
