Sigh, feeling stupid with fresh install

so this is hopefully a stupid thing on my end.
Had to get a new PC, so installed Java fresh from the linked site and installed Ubooquity.
have been loading up my comics, and I see them in the "recently added" area, but there doesn't seem to be any folders/comics/whatever in the main view.
I tried in the default theme, as well as the Plex v3 just as a test, but same thing "recently added" but not browsable.

I appeal to the hivemind of folks smarter than me, what did i screw up?
