Unable to add Shared Directory - D-345 ShareCenter NAS

Wow what a great solution. I came across Ubooquity yesterday while looking for add-ons to load onto my D-Link D-345 ShareCenter NAS. I was up and running the applications within minutes. Unfortunately, while it seems to have installed properly and is running, it is not accepting any of the Shared Directory entries I try to apply. I've tried every combination and way I can think of and nothing is accepted.

Discouraged, I've loaded Ubooquity onto my laptop and added my Shares there without issue.

I'd just rather have Ubooquity running on the NAS instead of my laptop.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use ubooquity on my synology DS212, and it's working fine. I'm pretty sure it should work fine on your Syno too.

I have 2 suggestions:

1: check the name of the folder you are trying to scan: "/Volume_1/Comics". On my station, the name is "volume1", not "Volume_1".

2: check the permissions on the folders you are trying to access with ubooquity. I granted read/write privileges for all user on my installation...there probalbly some way to make that more secure but haven't done that yet!

Elouan is definitely right about this being a permissions issue. SSH in to your NAS and try a chmod -R 777 /Volume_1/Comics on your comics folder. If that solves your problem please let us know so Tom can close this thread or we can help someway else.

Indeed.

"Directory does not exist or is not readable: //DNS-345/Volume_1/Comics"

: either the path is wrong or the folder has not the appropriate user

permissions (on OS level).

I checked the permissions on the folders, they are reed/write
