Is there a way to mark comics as read?

With large collections, it can be tricky to remember where I left off. Would be awesome if there was a way to have a read comic easy to identify.

I'm looking for this feature whole time.. found there is one solution: using external app (for example: Kuboo)

You might want to try an alternate solution like Komga or Kavita. Both these software have ability to remember progress. Personally I like Kavita more in terms of UX and speed.

Thanks for the tip on Kavita. I do like it, but it looks like it doesn't show subfolders like Ubooquity does. I don't like having everything dumped into a single folder. My collection is sorted by folder and I can't really see me using Kavita if subfolders of a shared folder are just one big flat pile of comics.

Ahh totally understand. It's a bit of a shift from the simple (and flexible) layout that Ubooquity has.

That being said, I'm not sure Ubooquity has this functionality exposed (at least when I looked at modifying a theme). Maybe one of the themes, like Comixology, can do this.

I am using the Comixology theme and I do see the folder the way I would wish. It doesn't just dumper everything into one huge location like Kavita does.

I'm using a Plex-like theme that keeps track of what 'page' you are on in a file, and will display a little 'Read' label on comics you've completed. Here is what I am using but there are several other themes that do something similar:

Hi Don,

You can use the "All currently reading comics" mod for Plex theme. I made it to do exactly that.

Discussion about it here.

Download from GitHub there or from Ubooquity themes page there.

Have fun

Hi,

I made a smal script a while ago that i use that querys the internal API for read progress and "mark as done" , check it out here: https://ubooquity.userecho.com/en/communities/1/topics/927-themetheme-mod-that-adds-readprogress-andor-bookmarksfavorites-to-any-theme-or-the-default-one

I also helped a few themes include the script in thier theme, so there are a few that use it.
