Chrome webadmin: no more than one shared library path saved

Jim Howe 10 years ago updated by Tom 10 years ago 3
Hi,  I don't know if the same fix for the Chrome reader arrow hotkeys will apply to this, but when adding multiple shared directories to the input field in Chrome webadmin only one path is saved to the xml file.  FIrefox works fine.

Thanks!

Image quality much worse than original in PDFs

Dimitris Panokostas 9 years ago updated by Sparkss 9 years ago 6
I noticed that the image quality when displaying PDFs in the browser is much worse than the original PDF displayed in a reader. This makes for example small text very difficult to read, images are blurry etc. Why is that?
I didn't find any relevant options to set the quality, perhaps that could be something to improve upon?

Using URL, port and username settings Challenger Viewer returns OPDS error (under Ubooquity server).  Any special config for Challenger?

ComicRack database integration

Tom Fieldhouse 9 years ago updated by Tom 9 years ago 4
integration with the ComicRack database for metadata and read status would be phenomenal.
The only option for ComicRack integration at this time is using a CR plugin named badaap which doesn't even work with the most recent version of ComicRack.

ComicRack supports mysql and MS sql server for a central database (default is a flat file full of xml) and has an open published xml schema. Unfortunately, many users opt for modifying their content files in favor of portability with embedded comicinfo.xml

Can't configure Ubooquity on Synology

gheraken 9 years ago updated by Tom 9 years ago 2

Hi everyone,

I have been following the steps described in this tutorial to intall Ubooquity on a Synology NAS : http://vaemendis.net/ubooquity/misc/synology-tutorial/

and I am up to the "Configure Ubooquity" step.

The problem I am facing is that on step 1, I am not asked to configure an admin password. instead, i see the following message on the ubooquity splash screen : "Sorry, you are not authorized to access any file on this server". (no web admin)

Did I miss something in a previous step ?

Thanks all for your help.

Can't Edit Anything.

Barry 9 years ago updated by Tom 9 years ago 5

When I click any link in the /admin page it leads back to the login page. Not sure if I'm missing something. I am trying to set up on Raspberry PI. I am not able to add a user or anything. Any help would be great.

Way to disable Public Network access

asian flavor 10 years ago updated by Tom 10 years ago 9
I was wondering if there is a way to disable the Public network access? I have IIS setup with the URL rewrite module and with Ubooquity, it's conflicting my own HTTPS broadcast. With the URL rewrite module, I can tell all external calls to redirect to any internal port. If I set up the URL rewrite to point to Ubooquity, it shows the login screen but will not get into the site. Hopefully I'm making sense here... been a long day at work.

JPEG 2000 Error

I see the following error in my Ubooquity logs when scanning certain PDFs:

java.lang.RuntimeException: JPeg 2000 Images needs the VM parameter -Dorg.jpedal.jai=true switch turned on

I passed the requested parameter to Ubooquity like so:

java -Dorg.jpedal.jai=true -jar Ubooquity.jar

But that didn't seem to help.  Is it possible to fix this issue in Ubooquity itself?
