Super slow for any Mobile device

MrOperator 9 years ago updated by Tom 9 years ago 14
Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has any advice for a couple issues I'm having. I have setup Ubooquity on Windows 10 64bit. It works well on the local network. I opened a port so I can see it from the outside. Everything works well from my PC.

BUT Super slow for any Mobile device. What I mean is the thumbnails take forever to show up and the page just hangs with the wheel spinning. I occasionally load the page and some thumbnails are missing. I can't access the folders that have thumbnails. The whole page is really slooow.

ALSO Challenger Comic Viewer Android; I add a Library or add web and it never completes. It takes forever to read the directories and then disappears. I'm figuring its the same slow issue bcs its a mobile device.

Some other info
Comics format PDF (I don't remember why I converted them all to pdf ..)
7500 comics

My network speed DL 50mb DL 50mb Fiber
PC 16gb of ram
WIndows 10 64bit
Wifi connection N

Mobile devices
Samsung Galaxy Tab s
Samsung S3

Thanks for your time
Mike

New version still says it's the old version.

I purged my old ubooquity install directory as well as the files it creates in the working directory when the new 1.8.1 version became available. For some reason though it still thinks that it's version 1.8.0 and informs me there is an update available on the admin page. Not a huge issue. More of just a minor annoyance. Thanks for the new version by the way. I love the page fitting options. Now I don't have to download everything. Excellent work. :)

Page not found when trying to access webadmin using linux build.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I downloaded Ubooquity and go it to run and host the server. But every time I try and set an admin password I click set password and get a page can not be found error. No matter what I do I am unable to access the admin portion of the server. I am trying to run a headless server on my Linux OpenMediaVault NAS. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm not sure here is the right place for my problem but i am looking for some help.
I have installed ubooquity on a synology NAS following the tutorial, no problem until i try to connect to the configuration interface (192.168.x.x:2202). I have a message "connection failed".
In fact in messages file, i have the log : ubooquity main process terminated with status 1

Thanks a lot for your help.

I've been trying to find one that will work with Ubooquity's opds functionality over https out of the box, but am not having any luck. As anyone come across one?

Mobile Site

Hi,

Awesome work on the full screen mobile app for android. Its working great. Do you think it would be possible to also add the following line to the header:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">

The scale '1' might be a bit high but it will increase the "zoom" of the mobile site making it look much more app like. Using remote chrome developer tools I have tested this. The CSS might need some slight tweaking but it does make things much more usable.

Thanks,
