Thnaks for pointing this out.

It's a bug that will be fixed in the next version.

It has no impact on the scan speed though (the only impact is the log lines you mentioned).

That was the plan, just wanted to be sure you were not expecting the same id for all pages. :)

Just to be sure, you are talking about the ID of the root page (currently named "opdsRoot"), right ?

I'm asking because other OPDS pages (when you start browsing) have different IDs (although not unique either yet).

Readium-2 did not exist when I released the online epub reading feature. :)

That's by design.

The folder info (as required at time of implementation) was done to allow arbitrary text and images to be displayed as context of the content of a directory (like some info about authors, or a story arc). It did not make sense to repeat it on each page after the first one (it's not designed to be used as a way to customize the theme).

In any case, fully customizable themes (meaning you'll be able to modify the HTML of the page) are on the way (in the next release).

Already planed:

But still not at the top of the todo list for the reasons already listed in the linked thread.

Add a "folder.jpg" image (also works with png and gif) in your folder to have this image displayed instead of the usual cover.

I guess a UUID could be generated upon first startup and saved in the preferences file (rather than the database, that I consider "expendable").

But first I'd like to understand your use case: in which situation did similar feed ids of two Ubooquity instances have been an issue ?

If the directory (or file) has a specific name, or if its name follows a specific pattern, you can use the "exclusion pattern" feature (in the "Advanced" section of the admin settings).

See this thread for an example and a few useful links:

I don't follow theme forum threads too closely (too many messages, not enough time, and you all know that Ubooquity development is already too slow as it is), so I'm not able to keep track of theme links validity, theme variations, etc.

So I moved the list of user created themes to the Ubooquity documentation on Github so that theme creators can easily submit modifications (if you are not comfortable with Github, sending me a message will do too).

If you edit the theme list page, don't hesitate to include a description and (small) screenshots, it'll help visitors to choose more easily.

Thank you guys for your contributions, and a happy new year to everyone !
