Start at boot on Ubuntu? Deamonize?

Jim Howe 10 years ago updated by Tom 8 years ago 24
I love what I am seeing here.  I can run it with no problems from the command line with scripts provided.  I have tried following linux documentation to get it to run headless at boot time (copied to the /etc/init.d, owned by root, etc), but I am having no luck.  Any thoughts or links that may help?

Thanks in advance!

Comic Metadata

T0mservo 8 years ago updated by Tom 6 years ago 15

So I've been having trouble adding metadata to my large comic collection.

I've unsuccessfully tried Calibre and ComicVine Scraper plugin for ComicRack. Is there a simple way to write metadata to a large collection without creating duplicate books or managing a separate library?

Could someone please lay out simple instructions on how to get that beautiful info I see in so many of your theme pictures. It shouldn't be hard, right?

synology connection loss

Stephen Fazio 9 years ago updated by Michael 9 years ago 3
Hi,
as per Matthew's great tutorial I installed ubooquity on a Synology DS415Play. However, I have encountered two issues:
1. When I restart the NAS, ubooquity does not load automatically.
2. My synology loses connectivity and I need to restart. The problem is not apparent as it seems to be working, but when you go to network status it says connection lost and all apps using the network stop functioning.
Has anyone else encountered this? The product looks great and I would really like to use it!
thanks

yyrgx 9 years ago updated by T0mservo 8 years ago 8
I just discovered comic tagger and downloaded it. went thru a few files got the metadata for them and when i open ubooquity i can see the name of the file but i only see a tiny little square instead of the cover of the actual book, before using comic tagger to gather the metadata the comics were viewable inside of ubooquity.. any help is appreciated.

HTML read from theme, similar to folder-info files

Scott (ScooterPSU) 8 years ago updated 7 years ago 9

Would it be possible to implement html additions to the theme folder?

What I'm imagining is a books.html/comics.html/homepage.html/webadmin.html that function similarly to folder-info.html's in folders, but pull for those pages.

In the logs, it gets file not found:
