Add the option to view CBR/CBZ files under E-Books

I have many e-books that are in cbr or cbz format. It would be nice to be able to view them with the comic reader under the E-Book section.

Java exception - OutOf MemoryError

Jimmy Cap 10 years ago updated by Elouan 8 years ago 14
I'm scanning a significant library of PDF files (~1000) titles and about every 500 or so I get the following error:

20150610 10:12:08 [Scanner thread] ERROR com.ubooquity.Ubooquity - Uncaught exception on thread: Scanner threadjava.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space.

This is on WS2012R2, Java 8u45 x64.

Seagate Central

Simon Kavanagh 10 years ago updated by Tom 10 years ago 3
Hello,

Is it possible to run ubooquity from my seagate central 2TB NAS hard drive? If so, how difficult is it? I'm not very good at linux/java commands. I have all my comics and ebooks stored on the NAS but I don't want to have my laptop running to keep the server active.

Thanks for your help.

Feature Request - single config directory for files, logs, etc

PhAzE 10 years ago updated by Tom 10 years ago 6
Files from the .jar are extracted into the same folder as the .jar file. How about a switch like --configdir that allows those files to be extracted to a folder that can be set via command line option. That way all the files can be contained but moved to another location while leaving the jar file in its current directory.

Start at boot on Ubuntu? Deamonize?

Jim Howe 11 years ago updated by Bruno Laurent 4 weeks ago 25
I love what I am seeing here.  I can run it with no problems from the command line with scripts provided.  I have tried following linux documentation to get it to run headless at boot time (copied to the /etc/init.d, owned by root, etc), but I am having no luck.  Any thoughts or links that may help?

Thanks in advance!

Comic Metadata

T0mservo 9 years ago updated by Tom 7 years ago 15

So I've been having trouble adding metadata to my large comic collection.

I've unsuccessfully tried Calibre and ComicVine Scraper plugin for ComicRack. Is there a simple way to write metadata to a large collection without creating duplicate books or managing a separate library?

Could someone please lay out simple instructions on how to get that beautiful info I see in so many of your theme pictures. It shouldn't be hard, right?

synology connection loss

Stephen Fazio 10 years ago updated by Michael 10 years ago 3
Hi,
as per Matthew's great tutorial I installed ubooquity on a Synology DS415Play. However, I have encountered two issues:
1. When I restart the NAS, ubooquity does not load automatically.
2. My synology loses connectivity and I need to restart. The problem is not apparent as it seems to be working, but when you go to network status it says connection lost and all apps using the network stop functioning.
Has anyone else encountered this? The product looks great and I would really like to use it!
thanks
